AARRGH! you ready to read at the 2018 READ TO ME program at the Grant County Public Library?   This annual program is geared for children ages birth to six years old.

Parents are encouraged to read to their children starting at birth.   The more words a child hears the larger the child’s vocabulary will become.   The larger the child’s vocabulary the more likely they will be a proficient reader which will help them in many ways throughout their life.

Sign-ups for the program will begin Wednesday, December 27th at the library.   Children will receive a reading log at sign up.  Completed reading logs can be returned to the library and redeemed for prizes and incentives throughout the six week program.

Reading for this program starts on Monday, January 8th and ends Thursday, February 22nd.   Participating children are also recognized on a display at the library.

The program concludes with a Pirate Party for the children and their parents on Thursday, Feb. 22nd starting at 5:30.     Registration is required for both the program and the finale party.   For more information call the library at 432-6543.
